The LapID Driver App serves as a practical tool for verifying your driver's license.

With the LapID Driver App, users can conveniently locate nearby LapID checking stations in various cities across Germany. These stations are situated at Shell and DEKRA facilities, as well as selected Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, and Skoda dealerships. The app provides seamless navigation to the nearest station with just a few taps, even when offline.

If your company uses our DEKRA Labelling Service and you possess a LapID Label, the app offers a feature to identify DEKRA locations providing this service and schedule appointments in your vicinity. Your company will supply the necessary DEKRA coupon.

Moreover, users can register for the app at no cost, enabling them to view their upcoming check date typically three weeks in advance.

For eligible fleets, the LapID Driver App allows users to launch their driver's license check from any location with an internet connection. The only prerequisites are holding a European driver's license from Germany or Austria.

Follow the app's instructions with your driver's license in hand. All communications with the LapID server are encrypted, and the verification process includes multiple stages. Once the check is completed, the photo is immediately deleted, fulfilling the visual inspection requirements and establishing the app as a compliant mobile solution for license verification.
